Is this really a band?
Are two singers allowed to call themselves a band? Can they be on stage without the support of other instruments? And can that sound be enjoyable? Yes, it can, with Espresso Doppio and the help of live sampling it’s a listening adventure!
The two met during their time in college and quickly realized that they should be playing together. Two singers? Two soloists, two egos, two front men? Yes, because both were aware of the fact that voice is an instrument of unlimited possibilities. Drums, bass, sound-scapes, wind instruments, guitar – produced only vocally.
The musical result: vocal escalation. Energetic like a double espresso – fiery mild, bittersweet, aromatic, organic. Now they play at clubs, bars, festivals, happenings, and other events. A journey from pop and heavy metal via the roads of poetry and sound-scapes to the lands of jazz and free improvisation and all the way back – completely live with only two voices.
